Mechanism of Stress - By Rashmi Arora
The autonomic nervous system (ANS) is a vast network of nerves reaching out from the spinal cord, directly affecting every organ in the body. It has two branches, the sympathetic and the parasympathetic, which have opposite effects. The sympathetic branch helps us deal with stressful situations by initiating a ‘fight or flight’ reaction. While the parasympathetic system initiates subsequent relaxation.
In healthy people, the two branches of the ANS maintain a balance i.e. action followed by relaxation.
Unfortunately in many people the sympathetic ANS stays on guard, making them unable to relax and does not let the parasympathetic system take over. If this situation becomes chronic, a whole variety of stress-related symptoms and illnesses can follow eg diabetes, hypertension and decreased immune response of the body.
A therapist with the help of various techniques can help you to switch over from the sympathetic system to the parasympathetic system, equip you with coping skills and help you tide over the stress to maintain the normal physical, mental and emotional harmony of the body.

STRESS AFFECTS HEALTH - by Rashmi Arora
Stressed....! Yes we have all felt it.
Multiple challenges of everyday makes us react in a way similar to our ancestors, when in a threat of being eaten by predators.
Stress is an automated response of the body to any challenge. It also has an impact on the health of a person.
Multiple challenges of everyday makes us react in a way similar to our ancestors, when in a threat of being eaten by predators.
Stress is an automated response of the body to any challenge. It also has an impact on the health of a person.
There is a link between physical body and emotions, But have you ever wondered what kind of stress produces what kind of impact and why?
Let me tell you some real examples :
A lady with a skin disease was affected by the death or separation of her son.
In another case of a boy having a skin disease, the history was traced to not being able to defend himself at school.
The cause of bone diseases is related to low self esteem.
Different types of stress have a different impact on the physical plane.
Do you know what is the emotional cause hidden behind your disease...?
What has made your body react this way.....?

The GUT Sense - Rashmi Arora
Constipation is difficult or infrequent passage of stool, hardness of stool, or a feeling of incomplete evacuation.
Constipation actually means a high level of constraint or restriction.
Obsessive-compulsive patients often feel the need to rid the body daily of “unclean” wastes. Such patients often spend excessive time on the toilet or become chronic users of cathartics. It is understood that the exact stress which would cause this particular tissue to react in this particular way was the attitude or belief involving the inability to move something (in our life) down or out. The specific thoughts involved would be ‘I am stuck!‘ but on a very deep, almost unconscious level.
A therapist with the help of various techniques can help you over come the belief of “being stuck up” and help you get rid of the troublesome sense of constipation. Homeopathy is a holistic, nontoxic system of medicine that is individualizes the symptoms of the patient. The prescription depends upon symptoms and the underlying cause of the constipation. Homeopathic remedies work at a deeper level than nutritional supplements, medicines and most herbs because they target the mind and the emotions in addition to the physical body.
